Instructions
Make the Smoothie
Add the applesauce, Greek yogurt, and milk to a blender.
Add the cinnamon and either the frozen banana or ice cubes.
Blend on high for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth.
Taste and adjust. Add honey for more sweetness, more milk to thin, or more cinnamon to taste.
Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes
Banana vs. ice:
Frozen banana makes a creamier, thicker smoothie. Ice makes it frostier but can water it down. Use one or the other, not both.
Applesauce type:
Use regular unsweetened applesauce, not Granny Smith unsweetened, which is tarter and won't taste as sweet.
Smoothie bowl:
Use only ¼ cup milk for a thicker blend. Pour into a bowl and top with granola, sliced apple, and honey.
Dairy-free:
Use coconut yogurt and any plant-based milk.
Meal prep:
Pre-portion applesauce, frozen fruit, and oats into freezer bags. Add milk and yogurt when ready to blend.
